The Intermediate Schools Regatta was held at Kohimarama Yacht Club on November 21, 2013. The PRO Hamish Hey had a mix of conditions to deal with. There was light winds for the first race and 10-12 knots for the last race. Lewis Anderson took first place but unfortunately Kohia Terrace School didn’t have enough sailors to field a team. William Shapland took 2nd and Sebastian Lardies 3rd individuals.
The Kohi Cup was taken by the Remuera Intermediate School. The Marama Cup (2nd) was taken by Belmont Intermediate. Third place was held by Albany Junior High. Thanks to the volunteers, organisers, Hamish Hey, parents and sailors for making this little regatta a great success. KYC looks forward to hosting this regatta in 2014.
