The annual KYC Away Weekend is being held over the weekend on 7-9 March 2014. The Club heads away due to the closure of Tamaki Drive for the Road the Bays fun run.
The year we are heading to Shakespeare Bay Regional Park and will camp at the Te Haruhi Bay Campground. We have booked the whole campsite for the club. Families can head up and camp Friday night as well as Saturday night, just Saturday night, come up for the day and stay for dinner or just come up for the day on Saturday. We’ll have a briefing at 10:00 am on Saturday morning.
There will be dinner supplied by the Paella Company, there will be three options; Seafood, Meat and Vegetarian.
There will be support RHIBs being taken up to support the casual racing. The RHIBs will be used to tow water toys afterwards so do bring sea biscuits, knee boards, water ski’s, etc.
To go with the paella meal we will be having a Spanish Theme party on Saturday night. Prizes for costumes across age groups.
