The Laser Radial is an Olympic class boat, based upon the same hull and equipment as the regular Laser. The combination of a 19% smaller sail and a shorter, more flexible mast create an excellent medium sized rig. Everything else is unchanged. The only difference between the Laser Standard and Laser Radial is the size of the sail and the length of the lower section of the mast. Everything else is the same and very tightly specified and controlled by the International Class Association to ensure competitive racing in identical boats. Lasers are single person dinghies.
